Maintenance Workshop Dredge Crews
FW Dredging Limited has sets of well-trained long-serving crew for each dredge. Most of our dredge masters have had over twenty years of experience in operating different kinds of dredgers. Their familiarity with the equipment reduces human error in equipment break down and safety of operation. The keyword for our dredge crew is SAFETY FIRST.
Project Management
FW Dredging Limited is managed and operated by professional engineers whose emphasis is on service delivery and reduction of downtime. The Project Management team analyses the designs and selects the best approach, equipment and personnel necessary to meet the specific project needs. Our fleet of dredgers includes both Cutterhead and Suction, which provides the flexibility to choose the right equipment specifically suitable for each project. We also have dredges with good ladder length necessary where the sand deposit is deep. Each dredger is equipped with customized communication technology to ensure 24-hour communication with project engineers and supervisors. All sites are properly managed for security and 24-hour operation. Every operation is planned with an emphasis on safety.
There is also a regular assessment of each project phase to ensure quality control and conformance. Our engineers work closely with our clients maintaining a regular line of communication to ensure customer satisfaction.
Engineering & Maintenance
The general emphasis has been on ensuring optimum performance of equipment and good maintenance culture. Accordingly, the company has established a maintenance workshop. Our workshop supervisors maintain an inventory of essential dredge parts and backup materials. Most of these parts have been coded in computer files for stocking. There are adequate stock and supply of these essential spare parts and other backup materials. This helps to reduce avoidable downtime, which is the Achilles heel of project operations. There are both expatriate and Nigerian engineers and technicians who constitute the core maintenance team. These engineers and technicians have been trained in dredge operation and maintenance.
